POST HISTORY

HISTORY OF OUR POST
The American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, founded by Congress in 1919. Its mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of veterans, advocate for their needs, and strengthen communities through programs that support youth, promote patriotism, and encourage public service.
Post 103 was officially established with a temporary charter on November 15, 1997, followed by a permanent charter on March 21, 1998. The Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion (SAL) charters were granted on March 28, 1998, setting the foundation for a full American Legion Family presence.
